Your expertise. A new audience.
A guest post is not a place to hide a link in weak copy. The article should answer a reader’s question, and the link should fit the paragraph where it appears.
Find guest post opportunitiesWhat is a guest post?
A guest post is an article contributed by an outside author or brand to another publication. Publisher requirements vary; a relevant link may appear in the content or author information, depending on the agreement.
Choose an angle for this readership
Read the publication before preparing your brief. Propose a topic that complements its coverage, with an original example, experience or analysis. An article written for a particular audience is more useful than a generic draft sent everywhere.
Write a reader-first brief
Define the reader, central question, outline, sources, brand voice and destination page. Do not make the article revolve around the link alone; let the link continue a useful idea for the reader.
Use natural anchor text
Good anchor text describes the destination without stuffing. Brand terms, page titles and descriptive phrases can all work when they fit the sentence. Avoid repeating a commercial keyword where it feels unnatural.
Agree on the publishing details
Review editorial rules, link attributes, article visibility, duration and content rights. Paid placements should disclose the relationship and use sponsored or nofollow link attributes in line with Google’s guidance.
Review delivery on mobile and desktop
After publication, open the article on more than one device. Confirm the link works, the article is readable, and imagery or formatting does not weaken the experience. Keep the live URL and publication date in your campaign record.
